Yarns

These are some of our best-selling knitting and crochet yarns:
~ Wool & Animal Fibers ~

Cascade 220 a wonderfully soft worsted-weight yarn in an amazing array of colors. This yarn is a basic which can do anything from accessories to sweaters to afghans. It is our top felting yarn. We believe you'll love it as much as we do. 220 yards/100 gr. skein. Gauge: 20 sts. to 4" on a US 7 needles. Can also be doubled for felting projects calling for a bulky-weight yarn.

Pastaza another fabulous Cascade yarn, this is 50% llama, 50% wool and feels as soft as butter. Slightly bulkier and fuzzier than Cascade 220; also in Cascade's luscious colors. 132 yds/100 gr. skein. Gauge: 16 sts. to 4" on a US 9 needles.

Lopi the classic Icelandic wool from Reynolds. This bulky-weight wool is rugged but light and wears like iron. I have 20+ year old Lopi sweaters that still look new! A great wool for northern climes in wonderful colors. Lopi also felts very well. Knit a traditional, circular-yoke Icelandic design sweater, or something very contemporary. From sweaters, to hats, to felted projects, Lopi can do it all. 110 yds/100 gr. ball. Gauge: 14 sts. to 4" on US 10 1/2 needles.

Lite-Lopi has the same wonderful characteristics of Lopi, (rugged, beautiful colors) in a worsted-weight yarn. Lite-Lopi has 110 yds./50 gr. ball and knits to a gauge of 20 sts. to 4" on a US 7 needle.

Mountain Colors our very own Montana hand-dye company! Located in the Bitterroot Valley of Western Montana, Mountain Colors draws inspiration for their unique colorways from the gorgeous natural surroundings. Their colorways have evocative names such as Mountain Twilight, Ruby River, Yellowstone, and Red Tail Hawk to name just a few. The company features many interesting yarns that they dye in these colorways. Some of our favorites are Weavers Wool, Mountain Goat, Wooly Feathers, Bearfoot, Cashmere and Merino Ribbon.

Blizzard - Super soft and super bulky! Blizzard whips up a wonderful, warm hat in no time flat, not to mention scarves, ponchos and sweaters. It is a blend of alpaca and acrylic. Not only the touch, but the soft, heathery colors will have you hooked. Blizzard contains 65 yds/100 gr. ball and knits to a gauge of 8 sts. to 4" on a US 15 needle.

~ Cotton ~

Butterfly Super 10 A wonderful DK-worsted weight mercerized cotton yarn with a beautiful sheen and wonderful colors. This is simply an excellent all-around cotton yarn for everything from baby garments to adult clothing and accessories. Butterfly Super 10 comes in a 125 gr. skein and has 250 yards. It knits to a gauge of 5 5 1/2 sts. to 4" and is machine washable.
